Climate Summit: Sustainable South Tyneside 2025 & Beyond is designed to bring together public sector organisations, businesses, community groups, and partners.
This business sustainability expo is an opportunity for local businesses to highlight their work around sustainability and discuss opportunities for and barriers to further net zero initiatives.
It will provide a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration between businesses and other organisations aimed at supporting borough-wide Net Zero initiatives as part of forming a new borough-wide strategy.

Register to join us for our Introduction to Community Energy to help cut your energy bills, improve South Tyneside’s energy security, and take steps to becoming a Net Zero borough.
The event will introduce you to what community energy is, how it can support your organisation & community, and how you can take your first steps into a community energy project. Case studies of local projects will be showcased and there will be an opportunity to ask questions of regional experts.
This event is aimed at any community groups, charities, religious organisations, sports groups, or other voluntary sector organisations based in South Tyneside.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided, including Jarra Tea.
The event will take place on Wednesday 14th May 2025, from 1.30pm-3.30pm. Attendees are encouraged to arrive from 1.15pm for refreshments and to ensure a prompt start at 1.30pm. To register to attend, please fill out the registration form. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
